Day 5
As the clear, cloudless sky revealed the beauty of earth and water nearby, so to, the runners showed a spirit unique to the challenges of lofty goals.Rimas ran 71 miles to increase his lead over Trishul Cherns to 11 miles.Vladimir Balatsky continued his grasp on third place with a five-day total of 325 miles. Nataliya still leads for the women with
329 miles, good for third place overall. Sarah Barnett of Australia was the fourth person over 300 miles.

Day 1
The Eighth annual Six Day race started amidst clear skies and cool temps as 26 men and women reported to battle the elements, the mileage and their capacities for 144 straight hours. Women’s champ and record-holder Dipali Cunningham from Melbourne, Australia wasted no time in forging a lead of seven miles over the best male runner -Bob Oberkehr of New Jersey and 12 miles over her nearest rival- Kaneenika Janakova from Slovakia. Glen Turner from Boulder Colorado ran 92 miles as second male. This is the first time in this race history that women outnumber the men at the starting line. You go, girls!
